A playground for the longer-term ideas: the interaction patterns behind how I approach design problems, written down and connected so I can think with them. The open question is how an explicit repertoire feeds back into practice.
The playground began as a design-system-adjacent playground for implementing components, trying novel approaches, and developing the longer-term ideas. Before I knew it, the focus shifted from components to patterns and the project evolved into a way to externalize and compound a wider array of knowledge. It has since taken on a third role: making sense of AI as design material and connecting it to other means of interacting with computers.
How the collection is organised, and where it's currently heading, is its own story — the site's introduction and working notes cover both.
